Nellie passed away on January 22, 2009 at the age of 14 years and 2 months.
We'll be forever grateful that she found her way into our lives, and that we had the honor and the pleasure of loving and caring for her throughout her entire life.



Hi!

Most people don't know it, but this company is all about me! 
I'm Nellie, a Siberian Husky.  I don't want to brag, but if it weren't for me,
this company would never have come to be.  When my humans adopted me,
they didn't know much about Siberian Huskies,
and my human mom didn't know a thing about dogs! 

I made her love me, and over time, I taught her that all dogs (and even cats)
are unique individuals, each one of us worthy of love and kindness,
and a home of our own. 

Then she got involved in rescue work, but she still wanted more to do with dogs....
....so she started making pet snacks, and before long,
both my humans were making pet snacks day and night,
and I got to be a taste tester (though I share that honor with two other dogs --
Becky, a Shiba Inu and Montana, a Siberian Husky like me --
only he's red/white, and I'm black/white -- oh, and two cats, Ashley and Maxwell)!

You're used to seeing my image in the company logo........

..........but here's a picture of me "in the flesh" when I was just 9 weeks old...........

 I look a lot different now at 11 years old (as of 11/25/05), but I'm still very spunky. 

Well, I just thought I should at least introduce myself so you'd know
the true story behind Nellie's Pet Snacks.
